Newspaper articles and a big donation.

This is a clipping from the front page of the "Carisbrook Mercury"  our local paper. this apeared a few weeks ago and there was a followup story this week.

Here it is

Partly as a result of these articles and a talk I gave at the Carisbrook Flood Committee 2 weeks ago One of the members of the committee approached a local service group called the Carisbrook Lions Club for a donation on our behalf.
I met up with Narelle Harrison at the local market today, also run by the Lions Club as one of their fund raising ventures and was presented with a cheque  for $1000.00 to go towards backing and batting. You could have knocked me over with a feather. I am still a little bit out of pocket and do need more backings. If I get more donations which I may I will send some to Ineke in Tasmania who  has received 10 boxes of blocks and is very busy down her end for us. I have been buying supplies for the quilts and quilting and putting it on my credit card. As I go along I am getting donations to help me pay for them. Each time I use my credit card again I think to myself.God will look after me and he will provide. Then I get a couple of donations of money out of the blue which does help me along. I have had this feeling all the way along and still do that this project is being watched over from above and have not once doubted the value of what we are doing. Thanks be too God.
